The Start

Rockhounding

Clark's Gemworks started rock hunting more intentionally about 10 years ago while living in Montana, thus collecting the majority of our material from Northwest states such as Montana, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah.

A Developing Passion

Lapidary Arts and Polishing Rocks (Cabochons)

Clark's Gemworks started experimenting with making cabochons about 6 years ago while participating in the Kalispell Rock Chuck Club in Montana. We invested in our own polishing machine almost 3 years ago and have been perfecting our craft ever since - preferring not to dop our stones while cabbing!

Passion to Business

Clark's Gemworks made the official decision to start our business around November of 2022, and have been perfecting our business presentation alongside our craft ever since! It has been a journey of growth and education for sure. We are very proud to be able to present you with what we have achieved so far, and are excited to see how much our work continues to grow with our skills.

Honing Our Skills into a self-sufficient process

Silversmithing, Faceting, and More!

Nick took Silversmithing and Faceting classes at the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts over the summer of 2023, which has allowed us to really take the entire process into our hands. We can now do everything from finding and polishing the rocks, to silversmithing the settings we put them in! It has become a beautifully self-sufficient process.
